Announcing the formation of a new

                                                PSYCHOTHERAPY GROUP

If you don’t know the kind of person I am

And I don’t know the kind of person you are

A pattern that others made may prevail in the world

And following the wrong god home we may miss our star

-William Stafford
(from: “A Ritual to Read to Each Other”)

Your participation is invited in this newly forming psychotherapy group.  This is a mixed gender, ongoing, process-oriented group.  The group meets weekly for one and one half hours.  The focus is on the participants’ individual and collective personal growth using the group’s interactions and processes to facilitate our awareness and change.  Women and men seeking a deeper understanding of self, of others and of life will benefit from this experience.

Meetings will be Tuesdays, 12 – 1:30 PM.  The group convenes at 2784 North Decatur Rd, Suite 145, Decatur, GA 30033 (near Dekalb Medical Center).  The group is limited to 8 participants.  The fee is $60 per group.  A six-month commitment is required.  After the initial 6 months, continuation is the prerogative of each individual.  New members will be added to maintain a maximum of 8 as participants elect to leave.  The experience is open to adults 21 years old and older, regardless of religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity.  If you are currently in psychotherapeutic relationship consent of your therapist is required.

Before participation each prospective member is required to have a pro-bono, evaluation session with one of the group leaders.  In addition, a post-group exit interview is also mandatory ($60).  These individual interviews allow us to assess the appropriateness of the group for each person, to assist in clarifying your goals for the group and to ascertain the effectiveness of the group upon departure.
